My First Review in a Long Time!

I know I said my first review was going to be another book, but I just got the Happy Planner Recipe Organizer at Hobby Lobby today, and I just had to show everyone! <3

K, I really hate starting out my reviews on a negative note, but I don't care for the cover.
It's boring, and I don't care for red. So... no love there. However, the cover is easily replaced, so that's really not a big deal for me.

When you first open the front cover, you're greeted by these Market Lists. There's 10 of them.
Next page.
Belongs to ME! XD

K, on to the real stuff. lol!

The next 3 pages are dedicated to cooking terms. Now, I'm not a professional chef by any stretch of the imagination. I know some of these terms, but some (such as deglaze and truss) I'd never heard of before. So whenever I'm ready to try something new, I'll know what the recipe is talking about. XD

There are 8 dividers, categorized as follows:
Family Favorites
Main Dishes
Slow Cooker
Entertaining
Healthy Fare
Quick & Easy
Desserts
Miscellaneous
I will definitely be changing some of the dividers. For example, I love the Family Favorites and Slow Cooker. And I'll keep Main Dishes and Desserts. But I'll change the others. Breakfast, Soups & Stews, and Appetizers will be three of my changes.
These are the insides of the first two divider tabs. I love, LOVE these pages.
On the side of each recipe is a, sort of, features-at-a-glance section. I love this because if it's something I don't make very often and can't remember how long it takes, I don't have to peruse the recipe and add up the cooking time. It's right there for me. Also, if it goes in the oven, the temp is right there, so I can preheat my oven. This is definitely convenient for me. There's also a star rating at the bottom of each page:
We like this recipe. A lot. :)

The Happy Planner uses the discbound system, meaning that you can remove the pages and reinsert them. I love this feature. It makes it incredibly convenient in so many ways.
The Divider tabs are color coded.
And so are the top corners of the recipe pages.
That way, if you remove a page for whatever reason, it's much easier and quicker to find it's correct location.

There's room in this organizer for 192 recipes. That's plenty for me! lol! I don't even have half that many. So I'll be able to add new recipes for a long time.

Bottom line: I really like this recipe organizer. I can't wait to transfer all my recipes over and start using it. It's going to make cooking so much more fun for me! :)

Do you have any of the Happy Planners? How do you like it?
